I know this is actually Day Five of NaNo, but it is Day Three of actual writing for me. Another 2641 words today. Total of 6645. More than 1/10th of the way there! I might just make it!
Very distracting, writing with the sound of the surf in the background. But a nice way to relax and refocus the eyes every so often after a period of typing, to look out on the horizon, watch the boat traffic, follow the birds in the sky. One could get used to it!

I am a transplanted Yankee (the Finger Lakes area of NYS) and spent the previous 12 years in north Alabama. Maybe here in Tallahassee we will finally have the warmer winters we have been seeking! My family has enjoyed the freedom of home education since 1996. Our eldest child (Kat) is married with a child of her own. Our granddaughter is gorgeous & extremely intelligent (of course!). Our middle child (David) will be going to Tallahassee Community College this fall, majoring in computer programming. And our youngest child (Charles) is finishing his final year of homeschooling. We are all looking forward to getting involved in activities and making friends here in our new home. I moderate a weekly IRC homeschool chat and maintain several websites. In addition, I operate an E-bay store, love to crochet, read and write. So many books, so little time!
