- NachoNews - North Alabama Christian Homeschool Organization - NachoNews is the official e-group of the North Alabama Christian Homeschool Organization. This organization is a support group led by a team of veteran homeschool moms. We sponsor several monthly events and publish a newsletter.
This list is for sharing updates to our monthly newsletter, for sharing homeschool information such as special events and opportunities, and for sharing any information that our members feel will be a blessing to others in our group. Our members can also use this list to post questions about planned activities or ask for advice or recommendations about issues of interest to Christian homeschoolers.

- North Alabama Home Educators (NorthAlabamaHomeEducators) - We are an inclusive support group for anyone in or near north Alabama. We hold monthly Picnic & Play days at a local park when the weather is good and sometimes have other meetings and special events. All are welcome!
When applying for membership please let our ListMom know your name, your location (just area, not address) and your interest in the list (ie - looking for fun activities for my kids, looking for new friends, looking for other homeschoolers/unschoolers, etc). - North Alabama Secular Homeschooling - A social/support group of people in the Huntsville metro area who are homeschooling for purposes other than religion. This group was set up by an atheist, but anyone is welcome who feels out of place in the religious support groups and/or who would like a resource for discussing secular curriculum.

- North Alabama Trailblazers (North-Alabama-Trailblazers) - North Alabama Trailblazers is a group of homeschooling families. We meet together for mutual socialization and companionship of children and parents alike. We serve Madison, Morgan, Limestone, AL and Lincoln, TN counties only. Anyone from the surrounding counties is welcome to join us but will have to drive to the Huntsville metro area for functions.
We are a cooperative support group open to any homeschooler that needs one, not a cover school. We have kids of all ages but the heart of our membership is currently children ages 3-12. About once or twice a month we do field trips. We also do seasonal and holiday parties. We also do playdays twice a month from March-October at local parks. If a parent suggests an activity and is willing to help with it, we will try our best to do it.

It is primarily a means for the staff to keep in touch with the parents and students of Sacred Grove, and also allows them to network with the other families enrolled in Sacred Grove. - Tuscaloosa Home Educators (THE) - Tuscaloosa Home Educators (THE) is a support and resource group for home educators in Tuscaloosa and surrounding communities. THE membership is open to families who are schooling their children at home or anyone actively supportive of home education.
Membership in THE entitles member families to participate in THE sanctioned activities (e.g. sports teams, field trips, choir, Geo Bee, honor society, used book sale, parent workshops); discount membership in Homeschool Legal Defense Association; a yearly directory of members; and inclusion on an e-letter list.
Members in THE are not required to adhere to a particular statement of faith. However, the leadership of THE does believe in the authority and inerrancy of the Bible and that it is the parents' God-given role and responsibility to train and educate their children in the "nurture and admonition of the Lord."
