    Home Educators' Resource Center - Bakersfield - A resource center dedicated to assisting parents who are homeschooling their own children through various private schools in the area. Through HERC, tutors offer classes in areas of specialty, and are available as independent contractors. Parents may hire these tutors to assist them in teaching various subjects. HERC offers a variety of clubs, providing opportunities for service or enrichment.

    Home School L.A. - Los Angeles (HomeSchoolLA) - Our goal is simple: create a non-profit website that provides locals with everything needed to homeschool in Los Angeles. If we don't have it; or have links to it; it doesn't exist, or we've spilled coffee on the keyboard again, and plan on getting it to you as soon as we are able. We also hope to bring everyone together, to strengthen the local homeschooling community.

    Homeschool Whittier Home Schooling (HomeLearner) - Southern California home schooling families! Here, you'll find information most pertinent to Whittier homeschooling with some Los Angeles and Orange County information, occasional articles of use to your homeschool experience, unit studies and topical links.

    Our homeschoolers come from Whittier, La Habra, Brea, La Mirada, Hacienda Heights, Fullerton, and occasionally farther. We value both the home learner and group learning process. Loop activities are informal. Amongst us, there are some truly secular families, many religious families of various denominations, traditional home educators, and eclectics. All are welcome so long as posting and conduct is within sociable norms and not defaming of other persons or groups. Participants recognize each family finds its own style (Konos, The Well Trained Mind TWTM, Charlotte Mason, Math-U-See, Saxon, Sonlight, Five-in-a-Row, Christian Cottage, Beautiful Feet, unschooling). Families with co-operative views and strong interest in unit studies and co-operative learning by doing will fit in well. Children in attendance range from newborns to teens.
