- Savannah_Homeducation (Savannah Homeducation) - Welcoming all those who are providing a home-based method to educate their children, to share resources, network with area groups, and exchange information relating to upcoming events that homeducators would enjoy.
I decided to create a place for families in Savannah and the Chatham County area who home school to connect with others. Since we arrived in the Georgetown area, I have only found two home school groups - one at Savannah Christian and FEFCECHO, plus a mention of Veritas (anyone who has info about it, please share!)
Do you know of other groups? Other homeschool families? Any connected to Hunter Army Airfield? Please pass this along to invite them to join this network! It's my goal to network ALL the home school families in the Savannah area, regardless of which method they use, what beliefs they follow, or what reason they chose to homeschool. With your help, I know we can achieve this!

SGHA also understands that even through the most difficult of times, we all have a need to belong to a strong community of like-minded individuals that can support us in our endeavors. With this in mind, SGHA offers free membership to all homeschoolers and to those interested in homeschooling. Southern Crescent is an academically oriented group with regular activities geared towards enriching our children's lives. - SouthsideHSHappenings (Southside Homeschool Happenings) - Southside Homeschool Happenings is a way to keep up with homeschool events and classes in the southern suburbs of Atlanta. Its primary focus is Henry, Clayton, Fayette, and South Fulton. We have many homeschool groups in the area who sponsor events that are open to all homeschoolers, but it doesn't make sense to join every group just to keep in touch. AtlantaHSHappenings and GaHeirWaves, provide this service for Atlanta and the state at large. But there are people in our area who would like a list that ONLY has Southside events so they don't have so much to delete.
This is not a support group. There are many support groups in these counties which can be found on HEIR of Georgia or GHEA - Georgia Home Education Association. This is a list for announcements of local events for all homeschoolers. To join, you must be a parent who is homeschooling in the southern suburbs of Atlanta.
