- BostonAreaWhole-LifeUnschoolers (Boston Area Whole-Life Unschoolers) - This is currently an announcements-only list.
Just as unschooling allows us to uncover our unconscious beliefs about education, 'whole-life unschooling' prompts examination of another set of pre-conceptions about childrearing.
This monthly meeting is for parents who seek respectful (non-authoritative) relationships with their children, throughout all aspects of daily life. Letting go of parental control is an ongoing transitional process that takes time. Too often we have trouble envisioning solutions and resort to coercion out of desperation. Therefore, we are coming together to support each other in finding peaceful alternatives - ways to live in cooperation, focused on consensus as the ideal.
****We are not currently holding meetings, however there are Unschooling Tea/Coffee Morning Socials being held two Saturdays a month at 9:30am in Framingham MA - dates will be posted to the group.****

Mission Statement:
Bridgewater Raynham Area Homeschool Support Group (BRAHS) is a group of families in the Bridgewater Raynham (Massachusetts) Area who have an interest in home-based learning in common. As a group, we do not endorse any one resource, method or philosophy over another, but strive to provide a morally wholesome environment for the character development of our children. We welcome all families into our group who have similar goals and concerns.
Goals:
- to encourage and provide resources to those exploring the idea of home schooling
- to encourage friendships with other home schooled children
- to support and be supported by meeting the needs of members
- to participate in community/charitable services
The BRAHS group meets on Friday afternoons in Brockton. In order to form a cohesive peer group, members are expected to participate in Friday activities on a regular basis and/or attend monthly parent meetings. Members are also expected to volunteer their time and/or resources periodically throughout the year. The BRAHS group exists for the purpose of meeting together to build and strengthen relationships.
