Membership is open to all Christian families who educate their children at home and meet the DNPE homeschool requirements regardless of race, gender, homeschool approach, or choice of homeschool curriculum. Area homeschoolers can connect and share information, advice, support, and encouragement thru casual park days, local community activities, field trips, and other fun and educational opportunities. There is no membership fee, although there may be fees incurred for participation in field trips or other learning activities.

- Secular Homeschoolers of North Carolina - Johnston County (secular_homeschoolers_NC) - Secular Homeschoolers [SH] was founded in July 2004 out of a need for an open and welcoming group for any and all homeschooling families in the Johnston County, NC area to meet and discuss regardless of ethnicity, faith, lifestyle or home-schooling style.
The purpose of the group is to provide social and educational opportunities for a variety of ages since homeschooling involves the entire family. Our on-line goal is to provide an open forum to discuss any subject pertinent to homeschooling with tolerance, dignity and respect. Our off-line goal is to gather and build a community that will support us throughout our homeschooling experience.

Our families have children from newborn through teen years. We are located in the Greensboro, Winston Salem, High Point area of North Carolina along the surrounding areas.
Our activities are every Tuesday normally but will sometimes change days. You can find us enjoying park days, parties, field trips and we have also had educational classes to participate in. Triad members love to have new families join and to meet them. We like to have an active group and to get to know the families so we do expect you to come to something every 6 months. This is also for the protection of our members that we expect to meet you within 6 months of you joining us.
