- sallisaw_homeeducators (Sallisaw OK, Home Educators) - This is a support group for home school families in and around the Sallisaw Oklahoma area. Our purpose is to encourage each other, share ideas, give our children an oppurtunity to meet new friends, participate in group activities, and become involved in their communities. We are an open group, not tied to any one religion or belief. We all homeschool for different reasons. Some families have children in public school as well as homeschool. This group is moderated to block spam, trash, and lurkers. We do not give out our children's information on this site.

- secular_homeschoolers_ok (Secular Home Schoolers in OK!) - This group is designed to be an inclusive, secular group for homeschoolers in OK. The idea is to share resources, techniques and other information as well as comradery amongst other families engaged in home education.
The aim of this list is to make it about homeschooling, not religion or politics. We all have our own views and beliefs and reasons for homeschooling. The common thread here is that we are all educating our own children at home for a plethora of reasons. This does not mean that we are not individually interested in religion, politics, etc. but that we are here for the common purpose of homeschooling our kids.
We are here to offer insight, resources, and support to homeschooling families. Please keep discussion, posts, etc. to the ideals of homeschooling and respect all members of this group. This is not the forum for religious or political content. We are homeschoolers who wish to homeschool secularly and as such, please keep religion and politics out of the discussion and off the list. Please share resources, ideas, activities/events, etc. that will help others in this endeavor. Also, if you have questions, concerns, BURNOUT, please feel free to ask or share without fear of reprisal. We are here to help!
Please remember, the idea here is to share resources and hopefully gain a supportive and cohesive group of people with one main goal: to do the very best for our children.

- stgianna (St. Gianna Catholic Homeschool Group) - The Consecrated St. Gianna Catholic Home School Group, unceasingly faithful to the Magisterium in submission to the Pope and the Bishops in communion with him, serves the Catholic home school families of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City through prayer, community activities and spiritual and corporal works of mercy.
Consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, our life of prayer is principally manifested through the annual home school Mass celebrated by the Archbishop of Oklahoma City in September.
As a Catholic home school community, we gather for myriad occasions such as to honor our patron, St. Gianna on her feast day, April 28, participate in field trips to places of interest, make pilgrimages to holy places in the Archdiocese, and enjoy picnics and other social events with our member families.
We give succor to Christ in others through spiritual and corporal works of mercy when we pray for those among our families who are ill or have died; when we prepare meals for our members in need after a birth, illness or death in their family; and when we donate clothes to organizations that aid women with unexpected pregnancies.
Although there are innumerable topics of interest to Catholic home school families, discussions that cover a broad range of subjects will distract from the important home school information that needs to be disseminated.
Therefore, we request that all Yahoo group members limit discussions to home school matters. These discussions may include information pertaining to:
The annual home school Mass with the Archbishop;
The St. Gianna feast day event;
Sponsored events such as pilgrimages, field trips & social events;
Catholic home school resource recommendations;
Members selling home school books and materials;
Request for prayers for those in our families who are ill or have died;
Inquiries specific to home schooling;

- TEACH07 - TEACH - The Edmond Area Class of Homeschoolers '07 is a group of conservative parents and seniors who are in and outside of the Edmond area of the Oklahoma City metro.
The mission for the group is to provide a graduation ceremony for homeschooled seniors that haven't found their place in another graduating group, and who are looking for individualism in their graduation celebration.

- the_earth_circle (The Earth Circle Homeskooling Group) - The Earth Circle Homeskooling Group is a secular group by nature, but celebrate in the wonder of Mother Earth.
For women to come together to support women who are thinkers, problem solvers, life guiders, love givers, and peace makers.
This group is for women of Oklahoma to share their thoughts and get support on parenting: Child-bearing/raising, home education and parental education, so that the parents are the chooser of their family’s path, not doctors, state, or public school board, well-intentioned family or friends.

- The_NOAH_Group (The NOAH Group) - This is an email group that is exclusively for homeschoolers in the Northwest Oklahoma Area. It will be used for announcements, information, conversation, etc. Christian behavior is expected at all times.

- TulsaHSParents - Tulsa Homeschooling Parents is a Tulsa area inclusive homeschooling group to offer support among parents - no matter how experienced or inexperienced. No one will be turned away nor frowned upon for religious preferences, ethnicity, philosophy, sexual orientation, political stance, etc. Intolerance will not be tolerated.
This is currently a very quiet list. Chatting is welcomed, we do tend to post updates on events in our lives. This is not strictly a resource list, but we *welcome* resource posts. We have an great selection of resources on our Links page. We welcome discussion of anything that pertains to parenting and/or homeschooling (even remotely) as well as tidbits of our personal lives.

Yes, Christians can Unschool! Do you find that you don't really fit in the christian homeschooling groups around town, but yet, you don't fully fit in the unschoolers groups either? So do we! Here is your place to find peace. Rest in the fact that you are surrounded by people who will pray with you, comfort you, provide you with resources, and share their unschooling discoveries/experiences. Come join us, let's unschool our children together. Unschooling isn't just for education, it encompasses your whole life. Unschooling is a way of life. If you would love to find local christian unschoolers to talk to, to meet up with, and most of all to provide like-minded friends for your children, then this is the place for you!
