- TnHomeEd - This list is a place of information sharing and encouragement for those parents who home educate their children in Tennessee.
In consideration of everyone’s time we ask that you comply with a few rules. What takes you a moment to comply with saves many times that amount of time for your fellow list members.
- Please stay on topic (homeschooling and education in general).
- Extend grace when reading and replying to posts. Not every post needs an immediate response or a response at all.
- Verify or cite whatever information you share.
- Please refrain from forwarding to the list what is essentially Internet junk mail (advertisements, cute stories or joke lists, requests for postcards for a class project, virus warnings and alerts).
- “Me too” posts are discouraged. Consider whether your post needs to be read by ALL the members of the list or should be sent to the individual instead.
- Please snip unnecessary information from your replies and keep your signature to just a couple of lines.
- This list is ‘text only’ and doesn’t allow attachments. This keeps the list from passing on viruses.
- This list will have a Christian flavor but intolerance of any religion or non-religion will not be allowed.
- The list may occasionally be placed on moderation or require approval for membership. These are temporary changes. Posters who violate the above will be placed on moderation without notice.
TnHomeEd also hosts a Chat list which where the parameters are much wider and little is off topic. TnHomeEd-Chat.

This group is a community in which we all play an important role in deciding and implementing the activities we want for our children. Your suggestions, ideas, and opinions are important. With all of us working together, we can create a fabulous home school group for our children and a community of support and friendship for ourselves. Parent participation is encouraged and appreciated. This group is a success because of its members.

- Accept other members of this group as the individuals that they are.
- Be tolerant of others beliefs, opinions, and personal views.
- Work out disagreements in a positive, cooperative manner that keeps the interest of the group as a whole in mind.
- Agree to disagree. Not all members are going to have the same opinions, ideas, or view points on every issue. Therefore, it is important to always respect each member and their ideals at all times.

- TNunschooling (Tennessee Unschooling) - This list is for unschoolers, unschool-learning, or unschool curious in the state of Tennessee. We're open to all religious persuasions and those with none.
This list is about about unschooling -- no school, no tests, no assignments, no lesson plans, no curriculum, no learning objectives.
This a place to give and get support for your unschooling journey, ask for and offer help, and receive and present suggestions for snags, frustration, fears, and general problems of being an unschooling parent. It's also a venue for creating friendships and sharing your unschooling triumphs and joys.
If you consider yourself a relaxed or eclectic homeschooler, who may require, force, or even strongly encourage your children to "do schoolwork" of any kind, *and you don't wish to stop*, then you may feel this list isn't for you.
Lurking is discouraged. This list IS NOT for discussing curriculums and "school at home" methods.
