We worry about what a child will be tomorrow,
yet we forget that he is someone today.

- uk_home_educators (UK Home Educators) - This is the mailing list for UK Home Educators. We have members all across Kent, but welcome all who are committed to helping their children realise their potential and reach for their dreams. For most of us, that has involved the choice to educate our children "otherwise" at home.
We recognise that we are all equal, regardless of race, religion, background and situations. We expect tolerance and patience to be demonstrated amongst members, understanding that our commonality is in our desire to equip our children for their future even though we may have very different world views.
We share ideas, resources, experiences and support, including being present for meetings/inspections, dealing with LAs and more. We have good relationships with Bexley, Bromley, Medway and Kent LAs. We also arrange joint activities, such as regular sessions at a local indoor play area, educational visits, outdoor gatherings and shared tutors.

- wealdenhomeeducatorsnetwork - Wealden Home Educators Network is an active network of home educating families in the SE of England. We offer help and support, information, activities, events and camps for home educators in the area. The network is also open to enquirers and prospective home educators. We keep a list of local groups in the region and are willing to liaise with the LEA.
We welcome all home educators but this group is not open to anyone working for health, social or educational services unless they are home educating their own children. We are also unable to accept anyone joining under the name of someone else who is not a home educator i.e. using a third party to access the site. Anyone who's children have gone past the age of compulsory education are welcome to stay on the list but this may be at our discretion. People/companies coming to this list with the primary aim to advertise products are not welcome to subscribe.

- westNorfolkHomeEducators - This list is a meeting place for home educators and families interested in home educating who live in or around Kings Lynn and West Norfolk as well as the nearby areas. Everyone is welcome.
It is a way to get in touch with others, and to share any aspect of home education or unschooling our children and to support and encourage each other. Do post any ideas for outings, activities, or get-togethers that you'd like or are happy to arrange. So if you've just acquired cheap theatre tickets, fancy visiting a museum or the beach with others in a few days time or want to suggest something, then the list could be a very useful way to keep in touch.
The list is not in the Yahoo directory so no-one would be able to find the group's address by doing a search; and any messages posted to the group are only viewable to group members not the general public.
I have set up a contact list for group members under the Database link, so add your details if you'd like to be listed. If you've got any queries, you can always email me at elyris@gmail.com and I'll try and help.
