    LightSuppGrp - The purpose of this elist is to provide members of LIGHT with time-sensitive information that cannot wait for the newsletter. This egroup is restricted to members of LIGHT, but messages are not moderated.

    LIGHT is a Christian organization that is dedicated to the support of Godly home teaching of children. Our purpose is to provide encouragement, prayerful support, and communication among all home educating families; information on teaching techniques and curriculum; coordination of group activities, and monitoring of legislation relating to home study programs.     Madison_Co_Christian_Homeschoolers (Madison Co. Christian Homeschoolers) - This group provides support, encouragement, and activities for homeschoolers in and around Madison County, GA. (Please note: this is located in Madison COUNTY, not the city of Madison.) Although we welcome members of any background, this group will primarily reflect a Judeo-Christian belief and worldview.

    We have a regular playgroup every 1st and 3rd Wednesday morning (weekly during the summer). It's a wonderful time for the kids to play, the teens to hang out and play games, and for the moms to get some much-needed adult conversation and encouragement! We have children and teens of all ages.

    All homeschoolers in the Madison County, GA area are welcome. When you join this group, you will receive an email asking you to answer a few simple questions. This helps ensure that our members are legitimate and discourages spammers.

    Operation_Homeschool (Operation: Homeschool) - If you are serious about home education, and you live in the Polk County area, we'd like to have you.

    This group was designed for those that are serious about home education. If you are looking for a play group only, we ask that you visit the appropriate board for your area.

    Although we understand the need for children to make new friends and have social interaction, education comes first.

    We have a combination of 12 years of home education experience, dealing with a variety of grade levels, cirriculums, and electives to provide plenty of help and support for those that are new to the homeschooling experience, as well as the veteran home educator.

    Pickenshomeschooler (Pickens County Homeschoolers) - This is a homeschooling support group for Pickens County homeschoolers and surrounding counties in North Georgia. We have various activities each month to meet the needs of all ages in our homeschool community.     Pierian Springs Home School Group, Sandy Springs, GA - Our primary interest is to offer classes, clubs and leadership opportunities for middle and high school home schooled students. We are families who strive to do everything in the best interest of our children, thus any activities, field trips, meetings, etc. will be geared toward being kid friendly.     raisingexplorers (W. Cobb Home School Raising Explorers) - Home Study, Home School, Unschool group for meets and discussions in the West Cobb, East Paulding and Surrounding Area.

    The group is open to any type of home study folks. This includes, but is not limited to, traditional home schoolers, unschoolers, deschoolers, eclectic home schoolers and anyone else who had to file a "Declaration of Intent" & send in monthly attendance forms to the home study office. It also includes folks who are considering Home Study for their children and would like to learn more or meet up with some more experienced folks before they decide. The group also has no religious affiliation, no statement of faith, and doesn't intend to change.

    Remember: The sun doesn't rise to hear the rooster crow. We all know your way is the best way, so there's no need to push it. Feel free to be open about your decision, activities, etc. But, there's no need to make yourself out to be like the Queen (or King) of England. I don't have a bunch of lame rules. But, I do expect folks to treat each other with respect and to have an open mind. This group is open to and shows respect to a diverse variety of folks. That's what makes it cool.
