- Seattle Homeschool Group (SHG) - A nonsectarian venue where home educating families can meet and exchange ideas and inspirations. For those new to homeschooling in Washington State, the group is a place to meet old hands who can answer questions. For the experienced, the regular get-togethers are great opportunities for kids to make friends and create lasting relationships.
SHG sponsors regular group-wide potlucks, a wide and constantly changing array of field trips, and several clubs, including chess, writing, and math. A monthly newsletter keeps us all apprised of what’s on the schedule, and several Yahoo!group discussion lists keep us in close contact in case of a spontaneous outing opportunity.
